Hey, what’s goin’ on chaps? This is my blog site on glass artistry.

Cincinnati is not the most artsy town. In fact, I’m suprised glass blowing exists here. But I am blowing and really liking it. I’ve been blowing glass since September of ‘06 and it’s pretty much awesome. There’s nothing like holding a 2000′ F. blob of molten glass on a steel tube. The first few pieces I made were so freakin’ ugly, and some that I make now are still really nasty looking but otherwise the’re getting better and more regular looking. Now, colored pieces are being churned out as fast as I can make them.

I blow at a place called River City Works dowtown in a
Cincinnati Art Academy program. It’s the perfect studio with glass, metal, and wood working facilities. A huge bunch of really awesome guys work there and I don’t know if I’ll ever be as good, but we will see…

As of now, I havn’t done any lampworking or fusing, but I’m persuing those avenues as fast as my time and money allow. When I do start, you guys will hear more about that stuff.

If anything else hapens with my artistic career, I’d love to go into wood working and metalsmithing. Hopefully you guys will hear about that when I’m awesome at it.

Other than art stuff, I play guitar (both acoustic and electric), listen to just about every type of music (Will Smith, Anberlin, Brad Paisley, and Creedence Clearwater all rock, but my library is huge), play video games (go Halo), and waste pointless time when I have homework to do.
